Ever wonder how we won it? So\ndo poor people! But it&#8217;s a fascinating story and we\u2019re going to tell it, in a\ncomically cynical documentary film <\/strong><em><b>guaranteed <\/b><\/em><strong>to tick off people on both sides of the argument.<\/strong>\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n\u201cEat the Poor\u201d will take a satirical look at poverty in the 21st century\u2013\u2013a\ngolden era that produced an explosion of billionaires siphoning money from a\ndwindling middle class and relegating &#8220;millionaires&#8221; to laughing\nstock status among the super-rich. While the poor got poorer.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nLet\u2019s face it: <em>We hate poor people<\/em>. There\u2019s a reason we refer to them as \u201cpoor bastards,\u201d and it isn\u2019t sympathy\u2013\u2013it\u2019s <em>loathing<\/em>. The <em>bastards! <\/em>But the sad reality is that you can\u2019t have the \u201cHaves\u201d without the \u201cHave-Nots,\u201d so it looks like we\u2019re stuck with the poor bastards.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\n\u201cEat the Poor\u201d will delve face first into the slushy truth of poverty. In interviews with genuine poor people, we\u2019ll see firsthand what it\u2019s like to not actually have <em>money<\/em>, or things. We\u2019ll go where the poor are, see how they live. Visit their shacks, tenements and welfare hotels. Sit in their thrift store furniture. Eat their rancid, fatty food. And then leave.\n\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n\nBy definition, the poor have always been those on the lowest rung of\nthe economic ladder.
